چکیده

Three equilibrium-air numerical solutions are presented for the Reentry-F ight-test vehicle at Mach 20, 80,000 ft. conditions, including turbulent t o w predictions. The three solutions are from a thin-layer Navier-Stokes code, coupled thin-layer and parabolized Navier-Stokes codes, and an approximate viscous shock-layer code. Boundary-layer and shock-layer prooles are presented and compared between the three solutions, revealing close agreement between the three solution methods. Notable exceptions to the close agreement, with 7710 percent discrepancies, occur in the density prooles at the boundary-layer edge, in the boundary-layer velocity prooles, and in the shock-layer prooles in regions innuenced by the nose bluntness.

Combined LAURA-UPS Hypersonic Solution Procedure

air, and nonequilibrium air solutions to sharp cones and a sharp wedge were obtained as check cases for the UPS code. The integrated LAURA-UPS procedure is demonstrated for two slender blunted-cones. Heating rates are presented on an 8-deg sphere-cone in Mach 5 and perfect gas at 0and 4-deg angles of attack and on the Reentry-F body at Mach 20, 80,000 ft. equilibrium gas conditions for 0and 0.1...

Optimal Trajectory Study of a Small Size Waverider and Wing-Body Reentry Vehicle at Suborbital Entry Speed of Approximately 4 km/s with Dynamic Pressure and Heat Rate Constraint

A numerical trajectory optimization study of two types of lifting-entry reentry vehicle has been presented at low suborbital speed of 4.113 km/s and -15 degree entry angle. These orbital speeds are typical of medium range ballistic missile with ballistic range of approximately 2000 km at optimum burnout angle of approximately 41 degree for maximum ballistic range. A lifting reentry greatly enha...

Solutions of Backward Stochastic Differential Equations on Markov Chains

Consider a continuous time, finite state Markov chain X = {Xt, t ∈ [0, T ]}. We identify the states of this process with the unit vectors ei in R N , where N is the number of states of the chain. We consider stochastic processes defined on the filtered probability space (Ω, F , {Ft}, P), where {Ft} is the completed natural filtration generated by the σ-fields Ft = σ({Xu, u ≤ t}, F ∈ FT : P(F ) ...

Hermitian Forms, Trace Equations and Application to Codes

We provide a systematic study of sesquilinear hermitian forms and a new proof of the calculus of some exponential sums defined with quadratic her-mitian forms. The computation of the number of solutions of equations such as Tr Ft/Fs (f (x) + v.x) = 0 or Tr Ft/Fs (f (x)) = a allows us to construct codes and to obtain their parameters.

Dynamics of intramural and transmural reentry during ventricular fibrillation in isolated swine ventricles.

The intramural dynamics of ventricular fibrillation (VF) remain poorly understood. Recent investigations have suggested that stable intramural reentry may underlie the mechanisms of VF. We performed optical mapping studies of VF in isolated swine right ventricles (RVs) and left ventricles (LVs). Nine RV walls were cut obliquely in their distal edge exposing the transmural surface. Six LV wedge ...
